The Academy of Industrial/Entertainment Technology offers several innovative programs for students seeking technology skills that lead to rewarding careers in the entertainment industry.

Entertainment Technology/Film Production

The academy prepares students to work backstage in media and entertainment production for television, motion pictures, and theater. Internships are available at Miami's premier entertainment facilities, such as the J. L. Knight Center, Miami Airlines Arena and the Carnival Center for Performing Arts. Students will learn to emphasize and implement their film skills in real-world situations. Students will be able to identify elements of film operations and become skilled in such technical processes such as scene editing, studio effects, acting, and photography. The Film Production field is an exciting career path loaded with hands-on learning and experience.

Career Paths: Professional Audio and Lighting Engineering, Set-Design and Construction.

Television Production

This academy strand gives students hands-on experience in television and radio broadcasting , script writing, and editing. They prepare daily broadcasts from Turner Tech's television station, as professional as WEDR 99.1 and broadcasting stations such as WPLG Channel 10 and WTVG Channel 6, as well as professional broadcasting stations studios. Turner Tech's TV production program provides hands-on experience in one of the most unique environments. Turner Tech's studio equipment and "Little Theater" are the IET's academy's claim to fame, as they provide an excellent visual learning environment.

Career Paths: Television and Radio Production, Script Writing, and Film Editing.
